After two years in the making, and a success on the festival circuit, “Dalua Downhill” is taking part in a Netflix contest. Chosen among the top ten brazilian movies in the last ten years, Dalua Downhill could be seen on Netflix if the film wins the challenge.

The documentary film follows Dalua for two years as he strives to become world champion. Directed by Rodrigo Pesavento, Fernanda Krummel and Tiago de Castro, produced by Tempo Porto Alegre and Zeppelin Filmes, the film follows two years in the life of skateboarder and Downhill former world record holder Douglas da Silva, aka Dalua, in pursuit of the Downhill Skateboard world championship. This sport is among the most dangerous in the world where the skaters go downhill reaching speeds over 110 km/h.
Beyond the competition there is a story of determination, passion, pressure and pain. Friendship and rivalry awake some rowdy feelings between the athletes. It is this common bond between them that also what keeps them apart.
During the last year the film has been screened in many film festivals and got the prize of Best Documentary at FIFE ( International Sports Films Festival, Rio de Janeiro).
